December 31, 2009

Dear Fellow Republicans:

I want to thank you for helping make 2009 one of the best the Connecticut Republican Party has seen in years.

With your help and support we went on offense, bringing the fight to the Democrats in Connecticut and in Washington and we were successful!

Chris Dodd can no longer hide behind backroom deals in closed-door meetings in Washington. His sweetheart deals with mortgage bankers, corporate executives and other Washington insiders are being exposed to introduce the voters of Connecticut to the real Chris Dodd, who is out of touch and out of time.

Our efforts to recruit and train candidates for local office helped set the stage for victory around the state, with Republicans unseating twenty-three Democrats in the municipal elections held this November. Republicans are now the majority Party of Main Street, Connecticut with ninety-nine out of one hundred sixty nine under Republican control!

We are communicating more often and more efficiently with our elected officials, local leaders, grassroots organizations, candidates and the media.

With your help, through e-mail, Facebook ®, Twitter ® and our websites we were able to add thousands of people to our distribution lists and deliver our message to people about what is wrong in Washington and Hartford and why Republicans have the solutions to get our state and our nation back on track.

We held Chairman's Roundtable meetings throughout the state bringing our Party on the road to find out how we can better serve our local leaders. We held campaign trainings around the state to bring the latest in political technology to the local level to better equip our candidates and campaigns to plan and execute winning campaigns!

Our donors have come through in a big way in 2009!

We added nearly 1,200 new donors to our file with contributions totaling nearly $150,000!

Speaker Newt Gingrich helped us pack the house for the most successful Bush Dinner in CTGOP history with over 800 attendees and $300,000 raised!

RNC Chairman Michael Steele headlined a sold out event in Danbury for the Frederick K. Biebel Award Event with 250 people in attendance raising $40,000!

With all these successes and some failures along the way, 2009 has served as a critical rebuilding year for our Party.

There is too much on the line in 2010 for us to rest on our laurels.

Governor Rell has decided not to seek re-election so we have to defend an open-seat for Governor that the Democrats are hungry for.

Chris Dodd, while on the ropes, is ready for the fight of his life and his friends in Washington are prepared to do whatever they can to keep him in office. With President Obama and Vice President Biden visiting Connecticut three times in the last three months, it is clear he will have all the help he needs to win.

We need your help now and throughout the next year to build on our successes, improve on our failures and win big in 2010! With great candidates lining up on our side to fill the ballot for 2010, this is an exciting time to be a part of making history. Can I count on your support now and in the next year to make 2010 the year of the Connecticut Republican? To make a contribution now to help us end 2009 with a bang, please follow this link.

Thank you again for your continued generosity and support. I am looking forward to working with you to make 2010 memorable and successful for the Connecticut Republican Party.

God Bless and I wish you a happy, healthy and successful 2010!

On to Victory,

Chris Healy, Chairman

P.S. Thank you for making 2009 a great rebuilding year for our Party. While we accomplished so much there is still so much to do. Please follow this link to help us continue to move our Party forward.
