Campaign Kick-off Dinner Re-cap

More than 100 people attended the Easton Republican Town Committee’s campaign kickoff dinner on Saturday, September 26, at “707 on Main” in Monroe. Among the dignitaries present were State Representative John Stripp, Judge of Probate John Chiota, Superintendant of Schools Dr. Alan Fossbender, and former U.S. Congressman Rob Simmons who is the leading Republican candidate for the United States Senate in 2010. During his brief remarks, Simmons congratulated the Easton Republican Party for its successful and prudent management of the town for many years and cited the town’s recent AAA bond rating from Standard & Poor’s at a time when most towns are experiencing fiscal difficulties.
